Marcus Walsh is a lecturer and a current Ph.D. candidate under Prof. Dr. Ulrike Liebert and Dr. Dieter Wolf at University of Bremen, Germany. He holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from Bremen University of Applied Sciences and received his undergraduate degree in American Studies from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), USA. His research interests include the authority and legitimacy of the State; he is also working on a paper on multilevel governance and its impact on institutional clusters.
His forthcoming article is entitled: Policy Creation to Policy Management: Development of the Brazilian National Government as a ‘Gatekeeper’. Besides undergraduate and graduate teaching, Mr. Walsh has worked as an EU Ambassador to facilitate the transition of political science graduates into a career with the EU. This experience has evoked his interest in further supporting young people in their academic and professional journey by providing guidance in discovering paths to put their ideals into practice in the world of private enterprise and public service.
