Moses Abukari

Mr Moses Abukari is an international development practitioner working at the International Fund for Agricultural Development ( IFAD ), a specialized United Nations Agency based in Rome) since mid-2006. Mr Abukari worked on various thematic issues and initiatives until he took full responsibility of one the country portfolios in the West and Central Africa division of IFAD as country programme manage in September 2011. With his apparent interest in and passion on youth, he was nominated as a youth focal point in late 2010 and has been involved in many youth-related initiatives in IFAD.

Mr Abukari has since been consistently advocating for sustained investment in pro-poor innovative and adaptive solutions to enhance broad-based rural youth operations.

Prior to joining IFAD, Mr Abukari was an active Executive Board member for the co-management of the Wageningen University and Research Centre, The Netherlands where he represented the interest of large segment of international students from August 2005 to July 2006.

Mr Abukari holds BSc in Agriculture from University of Cape Coast, Ghana and MSc in International Land and Water Management from Wageningen University and Research Centre, The Netherlands.

By serving on GYIN’s Board, Mr Abukari hopes to create further opportunity for IFAD to expand its network and build strategic pro-poor partnership for sustainable agro and economic empowerment of rural young men and women.
