Lwanzo Amani is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for Pro-Microfinance (PMI), an organization that provides financial and social services to under-served populations in her native DR Congo. Lwanzo also works on the Government-led, DR Congo Agricultural Business Park (ABP) initiative. This initiative aims to leverage local farming cooperatives and companies along the agricultural value chain to promote rural economic development and address global food insecurity.
Lwanzo has worked with the World Bank Group on private sector development, gender, youth empowerment and programs targeting fragile and conflict-affected countries. Lwanzo was an Amnesty International 2008 Human Rights Reebok Fellow and previously worked on development issues at the International Republican Institute, Open Society Foundation, Fresh Del Monte Produce and the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC).
